Important News Events:--
1.) Medical Department of KGP Divn.has been awarded the prestigious Health Care Shield at GM level for outstanding all corner performance during the year 2011-12.
2.) Medical Department/KGP has been awarded (i) Best center for disease prevention & Health Promotion.(ii) Best Ambulance services in the PHOD awards for the year 20/11/12 during the 57th Railway week celebration at C.M.D’s level.
3.) World T.B.day celebrated on 24.03.12.This was attended by Doctors, Paramedical staff, & others. Chief Guest was DRM/KGP; Guests of Honor were President/ SERWWO & SDO/KGP.
4.) World health day was observed on 07.04.12. This was attended by Doctors, Paramedical staff & others.

Dr.P.K.Sardar,ACMS/KGP-Received Railway Board award for using Rajbhasa.during the year 2011-12

A new Chest Ward extension has been inaugurated by DRM/KGP
Medical Department organised one National level CME on 14th July 2012 on Health and Sanitation aspect and the theme was "safe and wholesome water supply & food sampling under quality and FSSA".
Annual Inspection of GM/S.E.R was conducted in January,2013.A green grass carpet has been developed at the main hospital garden Cash award of rs.10,000/-was announced by GM/S.E.R.
Construction work for a new G+3 Building has started.
World T.B. Day has been organised.
World Health Day has been organised on 07-04-2013.This year's theme was Hypertension.Walking for health was organised where CMS/KGP,several ADDL.CMS,Branch Officers and many other Medical Officers,paramedicals and other staff took part.
MEDICAL DEPARTMENT OF KGP RECEIVED THE PRESTIGIOUS HEALTH CARE SHIELD AWARD 2012 AND THUS RECEIVED THE AWARD FOR CONSECUTIVE TWO YEARS.
