SER TO RUN HOWRAH-TATANAGAR STEEL

EXPRESS WITH LHB COACHES

 

Kolkata, 6thJune, 2018:

 

With a view to provide more secure and comfortable journey to the travelling passengers, South Eastern Railway has planned to run 12813/12814 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express with modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches instead of existing conventional coaches. The services of 12813/12814 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express with LHB rake will start from Howrah and Tatanagar with effect from 11.06.2018 and 12.06.2018 respectively. The o­n board catering services will be available as usual.

 

With the introduction of LHB rake, 12813/12814 Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express consisting of 22 coaches will have the following revised composition on and from 11.06.2018 from Howrah and o­n and from 12.06.2018 from Tatanagar up to 30.06.2018:-

2nd Class Chair Car(Reserved) – 9, 2ndClass Chair Car(Unreserved) – 6, AC Chair Car – 3, AC First Class – 1, AC 3-tier – 1 & Power-cum- Generator Car -2.

 

However, on and from 01.07.2018 from Howrah and o­n and from 02.07.2018 from Tatanagar o­nwards, the composition of the train will slightly be changed replacing the AC 3-Tier Coach. Instead, AC Chair Car Coach will be increased from 3 to 4.

 

Railways have taken decision to run all mail/express trains with LHB Coaches in the near future for the safety and convenience of the travelling passengers.
