INAUGURATION OF RENOVATED MASALA CENTRE RUN BY SERWWO

Kolkata, 30th May, 2012:-

Smt. Asha Verma, President, S.E.Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SERWWO)inaugurated a Renovated Masala Centre at S.E.RailwayHeadquarters, Garden Reach on 29th May, 2012. Shri A.K.Verma, General Manager, South Eastern Railway, other senior Railway Officers and members of SERWWO were present on the occasion.

The Masala Centre which is run by SERWWO for years, has been thoroughly renovated with a view to provide more facilities to the customers as well as maintenance of the level of purity and food value of the items sold from the Centre. The renovation will also help in better grinding, cleaning and packaging of the products.

 

Several kinds of spices (masala) are available at the centre in both grinded and whole variety. The masalas available at the centre include Jeera, Haldi, Chilli, Dhania, Sarso, Black pepper etc. Apart from this, pulses of different varieties like Mug, Musur, Arhaar, etc. are also available. The Masala Centre is very popular among the railway employees as well as residents of nearby localities like Garden Reach, Khiddirpur, Metiabruz etc. for the quality and reasonable price of the products sold from the centre.

 

South Eastern Railway administration has been rendering all kinds of assistance to SERWWO for its different charitable, philanthropic and welfare activities.
