CHAIRMAN, RAILWAY BOARD HOLDS REVIEW MEETING WITH SER
Kolkata, 28th May, 2012:
Shri Vinay Mittal, Chairman, Railway Board held a Review Meeting with the General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Shri A.K.Verma and all other Principal Heads of Departments & senior officers of SERyesterday(Sunday, 27 May 2012) at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach.
Chairman, Railway Board, Shri Vinay Mittal mentioned the serious concern of Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Mukul Roy about the safety scenario of Indian Railways.He laid stress on adhering to the safety norms by all railwaymen working in the field and instructed that more field inspections by officers should be carried out, especially during night time.
Chairman, Railway Board also reviewed all the ongoing works of SERwhich are in progress including New Line Projects, Doubling, 3rd Lineetc.Special stress was laid on projects in West Bengal.
The General Manager in his presentation spoke about the efforts being made by South Eastern Railway to complete the projects well on time.He said that the work is going on in full swing in all the projects.
