TRAIN SERVICES PARTIALLY AFFECTED DUE TO BANDH
Kolkata, May 31, 2012 :
In continuation to Press Release under Bulletin No.1 issued earlier by South Eastern Railway, the following updatedinformation is furnished.
The agitations which were continuing at Soro, Rupsa, Balasore, Amarda Road, Jaleswar and Basta stations in Kharagpur-Bhadrak section of Kharagpur Division have been withdrawn. The agitation at Bhadrak(East Coast Rly) has also been withdrawn.
Although train services in Kharagpur, Adra and Chakradharpur Divisions of South Eastern Railway were partially affected due to agitations at several stations early this morning from 5.15 a.m. as stated in the earlier press release issued, but with the quick and prompt action taken by the South Eastern Railway authorities with the help of RPF & GRP, the agitations were immediately removed from Tamluk, Madpur, Chengail, Balichak, Uluberia, Bauria, Nalpur and Bhogpur in Kharagpur Division, Ramsagar and Chhatna in Adra Division and Rourkela in Chakradharpur Division.The agitations at the above mentioned stations lasted ranging from 15 to 30 minutes.
Consequently, the following train services have been regulated as under:
Cancellation of trains:
·4 pairs of EMU local in Howrah-Kharagpur section.
·68021/68022 Kharagpur-Balasore MEMU Passenger
·78011/78012 Rupsa-Baripada DEMU Passenger

Rescheduling of trains:
·12860 Howrah-MumbaiGitanjali Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 18.00 Hrs. instead of 13.50 Hrs. today(31.5.12) due to late running of corresponding down train.
·12277 Howrah-Puri Duronto Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 21.15 Hrs. instead of 14.25 Hrs. today(31.5.12) due to late running of pairing train.
Short termination of trains:
·12074 Dn Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express has been short terminated at Bhadrak today(31.5.12) and will run back as 12073 Up from Bhadrak to Bhubaneswar.As a result, the service of 12074/12073 Bhubaneswar- Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express will remain cancelled between Bhadrak-Howrah-Bhadrak on 31.5.12
·18007 Up Shalimar-Baripada Intercity Express has been short terminated at Rupsa and will run back as 18008 Dn fromRupsa to Shalimar on 31.5.12As a result, the service of 18007/18008 Shalimar-Baripada Intercity Express will remain cancelled between Rupsa-Baripada-Rupsa on 31.5.12
Detention of trains
20 Mail/Express trains including 12516 Guwahati-Thiruvananthapuram Express, 18410 Puri-Howrah Sri Jagannath Express, 12882 Puri-Howrah Garib Rath Express, 12816 New Delhi-Puri Express, 12821 Howrah-Puri Dhauli Express and 12703 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express have been detained at various stations enroute.
